he Hill Country of Texas stretches from the clear springs and caverns of the Balcones Escarpment near San Antonio to the rocky river country near San Angelo. These undulating hills and prominent knobs are clothed with evergreen mantles of live-oak and cedar. Limestone bluffs stare down upon fluid and transparent rivers of cold refreshment. In the silence of night, populations of racoons, possums, and ring-tailed cats come out to work and play.
