THE LAND THE PEOPLE THEIR GREAT NEED |

Nicolina is a normally reserved lady who was born
and raised in the Catholic church. She has six children
and her husband has just recently left her. The day we arrived in Moroto, she happened to be passing by, praying and crying out to the Lord as to what was going to happen to her and the children. At one point, she was considering killing herself. She then decided to stop and greet us. That was our first meeting. She began working for me the next day. Nicole is a very hard and honest worker. Our friendship was instant. As time passed I began to question her about her faith in God. It soon became obvious that she has a deep faith in Jesus Christ; however something was still wrong. And even though I had begun to disciple her, I could never put my finger on it; but I sensed great fear in her. Bound by Spiritual Oppression When the Dillashaws came, God used Linda to minister to her. One day Nicole had gone to the guest house to ask Linda about a certain scripture that she could not understand. So Linda began to explain the scriptures and pray for her. As she prayed, Linda felt led to just reach over and touch her. When she did, Nicole began to scream a scream that in all my life time I have never heard. By the time Larry, Neail and I reached them she was lying on the floor convulsing. We joined Linda in prayer over her--- praying out loud in Jesus name---singing over her the name of Jesus---proclaiming victory because of the shed blood of Jesus---shouting the name of Jesus---each one of us speaking as the Holy Spirit took over. After about 15 minutes she sat up and looked around. As she looked at me, the voice inside of her said "This one is after me"! As she looked at me with piercing eyes that were not her own I knew the work was not finished yet. The demon was still trying to intimidate us to find out who was fearful of him. Delivered Indeed ! But the more we sang and prayed the name of Jesus, the more confident we became and faith began to shout. I began to feel like one of King David’s warriors who was defending the plot of ground in First Chronicles 11:12-14. Soon it was over. As she stood up, she began to say "Jesus is Lord!" We all wept and hugged for joy. Now Nicole will tell you outright: "I am now known as the one with the gift of joy. When I sing at church, I begin to laugh because I am full of joy. I am not fearful anymore. The demons do not try to take my life at night anymore. Because of Jesus, the oath taken by my parents during childhood for me to become a spiritist has been broken. I have been set free.""If therefore the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed." John 8:36 |
