 Mount Moroto in Karamoja

Although we can't see it with our physical eyes, a battle of immense proportions rages on around us twenty-four hours a day, and three-hundred sixty-five days a year. The casualties in this battle are not merely maimed in limb, nor are they merely in danger of losing their physical lives. As horrifying as these physical dangers might be, they are "minor" when compared with the far greater injuries of the unseen war---the war for the eternal destinies of men, women, and children.

Missionaries---"Great Commission Christians"---are waging war at the front lines of the battle for Karamoja (as well as countless other battlefields across the earth). Their basic training was thorough and they have been equipped with effective spiritual armor by their King: but the battle doesn't end there, it has only begun. The final ingredient which will bring the Army of God to sure victory is prayer.

  • Prayer is the ammunition of the saints as they prepare to open fire on enemy strongholds.

  • Prayer is the General communicating His secret strategy to His officers in the field.

  • Prayer is the cry of soldiers in their trenches for desparately needed reinforcements.

  • Prayer is the sound of the bugle calling for a "charge!" on the enemy's camp.

PRAYER:
        without it, the battle is lost before it is begun
                --- with it, victory is certain.
