Dear Prayer Partners and Friends,

God is indeed good! All the time!!

We are back in Moroto and doing very well. It is good to be back to our Karamoja home.

I have a very important and urgent prayer request to make to you. It is imperative for all of us to join together in intercessory prayer in the days ahead.

Larry was invited on January 16 by some old women to come and tell stories from God's Word in their village about one hour walk from our house on the mountain. When he and Philip went there, they were surprised to find that the elders and warriors had gotten up early and taken their livestock to the kraals so they could return to hear the story. Nearly everyone in the village showed up to hear.

The people want them to come tell the stories every day (7 a.m. Uganda time or 10 - 11 p.m. Central Standard Time). This village is also our night guard's village.

This is a big thing. This is a God thing. The Holy Spirit has given me some scriptures for this time (click this link for the full scripture texts) and we need to join together on behalf of these Tepez (mountain people). They are:

• Isaiah 55;
• I John 2:13-14;
• Ecclesiastes 3:11 (that they would realize that the void in their lives and the darkness in their hearts is because God has indeed set eternity in their hearts);
• John 1:1-5, 12-13 (and that the Light has come to them in Jesus and that the Spirit of God will come to live in them if they will believe).

The Lord will probably give you other scriptures and insights as you pray. If you are so led, please write and share them with us that we may join you.

UPDATE: The invitation to one village has turned into an invitation to three villages. This is also the time that the president says he will disarm the Karamojong.
